Ballot measures’ labels changed after complaints

Sacramento Superior Court Judge Michael Kenny reworded part of the label for Proposition 1A, which would impose a state spending restriction and extend tax increases lawmakers approved as part of the budget deal last month.

Thanks goes out to the Howard Jarvis taxpayers Association for bringing this lawsuit.  Hopefully now the people will start to see the true intention of Proposition 1A.

As of this moment the new ballot labels are not available in print to the public but I called Debra Brown’s office and they said the new wording will be available online later today. I requested a copy myself…very friendly people! Their contact info is in the current ballot label here: http://www.sos.ca.gov/elections/ccrov/pdf/2009/february/09018jh.pdf
