More taxs comming to close $8B shortfall

More taxes coming to fill the $8B budget short fall identified less than a month after the largest state tax hike in US history.  Will non-tax representatives stand strong?

The proposals include a 25-cent fee for shoppers who use plastic bags; a tax on cigarettes to fund programs discouraging tobacco use; a $50 per ounce tax on marijuana; a higher income tax for the rich to help pay for schools; a tax on oil produced in California; and a tax on pornography.

State faces new budget shortfall, new tax ideas.

Hey! Wait a minute. Those danged commies are gonna tax marijuana and pornography? And when you say ‘oil’ are you talking about emotion-lotion or that stuff that kills polar bears? Oh man, this state is SO over! Too bad the rich are either fleeing or broke, we could tax them some more and not raise the price of an eighth down at the Compassion Care Center. Are they going to tax the pornography that you download for free? That one’s aimed right between the eyes of every thirteen-year-old and public employee union member in the state. I’ll tell ya this socialism stuff is really complicated. I mean, this is a free country so shouldnt they be sending us some stimulus checks or something instead of taxing the downloads at Persian Kitty? I voted for Hope And Change not something where you have to pay taxes. Sheesh, you think us Obama voters are stupid?
